MEMORY WITHOUT WALLS
The collection looks at the Berlin Wall and political and social repression, through the lens of imagination and the science of memory. According to neuroscientist Daniela Schiller, PhD, “Memories are an act of reconstruction from fragments and imagination works pretty much the same way.”
Looking at memory, as observed by Schiller as a ”form of time travel” and imagination as “a form of travel not bound by time”, the collection explores how imagination reimagine and lift the walls of traumatic memories.
